Supporting Fathers of Children on the Autism Spectrum

We are currently developing a national survey focused on fathers who have children living with Autism Spectrum Disorder.

This survey is designed to better understand the experiences, challenges, and support needs of fathers who are navigating life with a child on the spectrum. While much of the conversation around autism support often focuses on mothers or clinical care, fathers play a critical and often underrepresented role in the family dynamic.

Why this matters

Fathers can experience unique pressures, responsibilities, and emotional challenges that are not always openly discussed or supported. By gathering real insights from lived experiences, this survey aims to:

  • Highlight the needs of fathers in autism support networks

  • Identify gaps in current resources and services

  • Help shape future tools, education, and community support

  • Strengthen understanding across families, professionals, and communities

Who should take part

If you are a father of a child on the autism spectrum, your voice is incredibly valuable.

If you are not, but you know someone who is, we ask one simple thing:

Please share this with them.

Survey details

  • Takes approximately 5 minutes to complete

  • Completely anonymous

  • Focused on real experiences and perspectives

Every response contributes to a broader understanding that can lead to better support systems and more informed conversations.

A small ask with a big impact

“If you know a father with a child on the autism spectrum, can you please share this with them?”

Your support in spreading this message can make a meaningful difference.

Thank you

A big thank you to everyone who takes the time to complete the survey or share it within their networks. Your input is not only appreciated, it is essential.
